Thanks. This is an outstanding low run case classic split backspring whittler, a 1990 issue moss bottom greenbone, w. R. Case & sons stamped 6391 whittler for auction.
This knife is 4 1/2 closed and features the pinned case bowtie shield and the terrific looking moss bottom greenbone scales. Tihs knife was produced in 1990 and is tang stamped on the master spear blade with w. R. Case & sons bradford, pa 19 usa 90 and marked wiht the case long tail c and #000 on the bolster. The rear tang of this blade is pattern stamped with tested xx 6391. The spey blade is stamped with w. R. Case & sons bradford, pa, while the small clip blade is stamped with an encircled case xx tested. This is the lower run variation issue of this knife. 117 were manufactured with the w. R. Case & sons stamped master spear and small clip blades, while 122 were manufactured with the case brothers marked smaller blades.
