Be watching for omre of these in the coming weeks. This is an outstanding 091 prototype, a 1990 case brothers stamped 6391 whittler for auction. This knife is 4 1/2 closed and features the pinned case bowtie shield and the terrific looking jigged light tan genuine bone scales. This knife was produced in 1990 and is tang stamped with case brothers bradford, pa 19 usa 90 and marked with the case long tail c and proto on the rear side of the blade. The rear tang of this blade is pattern stamped wiht tested xx 6391. This is a desirable prototype knife as the spey blade is stamped with w. R. Case & sons bradford, pa, while the coping blade is stamped with case bros. Tested xx bradford, pa. This is unique as it features 2 different case era tang stampings, giving it a transition characteristic. This 1990 case classic prototype split backspring whittler is mitn and complete in the case brothers case classic box with deluxe letter of authenticity and being offered at no reserve.
