Folks, we just got back may 17 from this trip and ew bought around 3000 discontinued case knives, still mint in very crisp condition original issue boxes. 95% of these knives still had the factory wrapping paper undisturbed, until i unwrapped them to inspect them. Case issued the mary petro greenbone series in the fall of 2001. Only 500-1000 pieces ewre produced of any of the 7 patterns in this series. Mary petro was a very longtime case associate who was born in 1908 and worked for the copmany for 70 years and from all accounts she was an exceptional dedicated employee and more importantly, a fine person. I had the chance to meet her in 1989 in bradford, pa. She passed away in july of 2007. The master clip blade is tang stamped with case xx with 5 x's and 4 dots, dating this as a 2001 issue csae knife. The front tang of the skinner blade is pattern stamped with uas 6265 ss. The blades are produced with case tru sharp surgical cutlery steel and the front side of the handle features the nickel silver case xx silver script inlay.
